Architecturally Sound
Ration is designed with a plugin architecture in mind, making it potentially extensible to any service provider on the planet. Instead of multiple widgets, why not create one core app with cool features and services, and then just add providers in with simple plugins? That's exactly what we have done. Better yet, the plugin framework will soon be readily available to the community for those who wish to create their own plugins.
What's cookin', good lookin'?
It has been said before, and will be said again - Ration looks stunning. Designed using simple HTML, CSS, and the power of WebKit, Ration's viewstyle plugins are easy for anyone to design and produce. Right now, there is only one available, but rest assured - we have some cool stuff coming really soon from Blargsoft and other well known designers!
Statistically Speaking
As time progresses, Ration will use current and archived data to provide you with information that lets you know where you stand. Currently, only a cycle summary with some simple averages is available, but as Ration grows, and Triggers become active, we think we are poised to deliver some really cool statistics and analysis.
Trigger Happy
Ration's trigger engine allows you to specify certain actions to be taken based on your usage. Whether this is opening your favorite BitTorrent application, starting a batch of Software Updates, or just displaying a Growl notification, they can be triggered at any time. You could, for example, set Transmission to open and close based not only on the time of day, but whether or not you had exceeded your daily average. The possibilities are endless, and a lot more information will become available about triggers in the next few months.
